About Linda Swift

Thank you for visiting my website.  I'd like to share with you, the background of my passion for design.

My interest and love of design and decorating initiated in my childhood when I began moving furniture around the house and redecorating my bedroom. Nothing pleased me more than the excitement of a fresh new perspective in the look of a room. My family grew to expect the unexpected.

This passion continued as an adult.  I staged our first home (before staging was the buss word) and it sold in 7 days.  My love of design flourished.  I have singlehandedly redecorated our homes for over 20 years and most recently supervised in multiple renovation phases.  Over the years, I have helped friends, family and coworkers on decorating and designing their home spaces, both locally and across the country.

My credentials include:

  • Graduating with Honours from the Interior Decorating Program at Sheridan College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning earning my Certification as an Interior Decorator (CID)
  • Certified Staging Professional (CSP). Completed extensive training and certification through the internationally renowned Certified Staging Professional Training Program.

In sharing my life’s passion, I have established Linda Swift Interiors. My keen sense of design, style and colour will result in creating a successful combination in any home. Whether it is to update or refresh your current home, or you wish to stage your home for resale to inspire others to purchase, Linda Swift Interiors is ready to help you.

Working with inspiration is key in decorating. Your home’s feel and design comes from inspiration and we are surrounded by inspiration in our life.  We need to pay attention to the things in our life that make us feel good and use those to our advantage in creating a house into our home. As a certified interior decorator, I will work closely with you to nurture your inspirations thus creating a home that you love, that is a true reflection of you. 

The same holds true to making a move from one home to another.  The desire to buy a home is based on being inspired. The look and feel of a home (aka the inspiration) is what ultimately appeals to the buyer.  As a certified staging professional,  I will address all the requirements for a successful presentation resulting in the sale of your home. 

As a professionally trained, experienced and inspired decorator, my objective is to work with you on time and on budget, for the love of your home.
